課程概述

This course will prepare students to read and think critically in literature reviewing academic papers on foodborne bacteria. General reading strategies for academic papers will be introduced at the beginning of the course. In-class activities will lead the students to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the study and analyze its significance and impact. Students will engage in a variety of tasks, such as concept mapping, reflective writing, and oral presentation.  

課程目標
The practice aims to help students learn how to effectively identify, read, summarize, and assess the quality of empirical research within specific issues associated with foodborne bacteria. Active in-class participation is required.

Student Learning Outcomes:
1. Think critically about the research and summarize complex ideas contained within the research.
2. Identify potential solutions to relevant problems in food microbiology.
3. Improve communication skills and proficiency in reading, researching, and academic writing.
